Homegrown Foden extends contract with Manchester City

England international Phil Foden has extended his contract with champions Manchester City by three years.

The 22-year-old’s contract now runs until the summer of 2027, as City announced. Formerly a ball boy at the club, Foden was educated at City’s academy and has been with the first team since 2016.

The attacking player has already won eleven titles at club level with coach Pep Guardiola’s team, including four English championships and four English League Cups.

“It’s hard to put into words how happy I am to have signed this contract,” said Foden. “It’s a dream come true. It’s an honor to be part of this football club.”
