Holstein Kiel remains the team of the hour in the 2nd Bundesliga. The Kiel team celebrated their third win in a row with a 3-2 win against Wehen Wiesbaden and finally entered the promotion race.
With the victory, Kiel climbed past Hamburger SV to second place. Wehen Wiesbaden lost touch with the promotion ranks after their second defeat in a row.
Steven Skrzybski gave KSV Holstein the lead (19th minute), Jann-Fiete Arp increased (37th) before the break. Finn Porath made the preliminary decision 3-0 (58th). Wiesbaden’s comeback, with the two goals by Ivan Prtajin (81st, 90th + 3), came too late.
The Kiel team showed a more mature playing system for long stretches of the game and were able to convince again and again with beautiful ball relays. The Wiesbaden team, on the other hand, had a very difficult time and appeared vulnerable on defense.

Kiel in the top game at Fortuna
Holstein Kiel now expects a real top game on matchday 16 at Fortuna Düssseldorf (Sunday, 1:30 p.m.). Wehen Wiesbaden will play against Eintracht Braunschweig on Friday evening (6.30 p.m.).
