After eight games without victory, SV Waldhof Mannheim clearly wins against FC Hansa Rostock. VfB Stuttgart II fetches a counter in Ingolstadt, SV Sandhausen is subject to BVB II.

SV Waldhof Mannheim has ended its negative series of eight third division games in a row without a win. On matchday 24, the team of coach Bernhard Trares won 5-0 (3-0) against Hansa Rostock and set the course for victory early on. Felix Lohkemper (7th minute), André Becker (12th) and Arianit Ferati (24th) already met in the initial phase for the Kurpfalzer. Rostock was preceded by Rostock Ball losses, the Mannheim knew how to use the switching game quickly. Julian Rieckmann followed the fourth goal after a corner kick (80th), Nicklas Hoffmann made the final score (88.). Sigurd Haugen also missed a penalty for the guests (74th).

SV Waldhof Mannheim has thus scored important points in the table cellar. Despite the defeat, Hansa remains the eighth in the front midfield of the 3rd division.

Dream start for Waldhof Mannheim

The SV Waldhof caught a measure in the Carl-Benz Stadium at home. After a rustock loss of ball just before the center line, Janne Sietan stuck with the outside of Lohkemper. The striker remained completely free in front of Hansa keeper Benjamin Uphoff and pushed the same pattern to 1-0 shortly afterwards: Mannheim conquered the ball in midfield. Lohkemper had plenty of space, ran towards the opposing penalty area, stuck on Ferati, the goalkeeper Uphoff turned over and fit into the middle. Becker had no trouble there to meet 2-0 from nearby (12th).

Dream goal of Arianit Ferati

And the third goal for the hosts was also preceded by a Rostock mistake. Keeper Uphoff played the ball into the feet of Ferati well in front of his box, who quickly switched and scored from almost 30 meters in the orphaned gate for 3-0 for Waldhof Mannheim (24th). A real dream goal of the offensive midfielder. Little came from the guests in the first half. Haugen scored shortly before the break for the supposed 1: 3 (45. +5), but the goal of the Norwegian was collected due to offside.

In the second half, the SVW was deep and largely left the game to the guests. The calculation behind it was clear: after further Rostock ball losses, switch quickly and counter. Lohkemper missed a good header chance for Mannheim (63.), on the other hand, Nils Fröling failed to Waldhof goalkeeper Jan-Christoph Bartels (64.).

Jan-Christoph Bartels holds the penalty of Sigurd Haugen

The best opportunity for Hansa, Haugen, who failed with a penalty, which was questionable in the creation, failed on the strongly reacting Bartels (74.). Ten minutes before the end, Rieckmann removed all the doubts about the home success for SV Waldhof. A corner ball slide through to the long post, where the 24-year-old wetted massively (80th). Shortly before the end, Hoffmann set the final point with the 5-0 (88th). Efficient Mannheimers were able to look forward to a deserved, important threesome.

See you again with ex-coach Marco Antwerpen

With 26 points from 24 games, the SVW is as table-17. Further in the basement, but can take confidence from the game against Rostock. Next weekend the Kurpfälzer at VfL Osnabrück with ex-SVW coach Marco Antwerpen ran (February 23, 4:30 p.m.). For Rostock, a home game against Dynamo Dresden continues (February 22nd, 2 p.m.).

VfB Stuttgart II is fighting for Remis at FC Ingolstadt

VfB Stuttgart II, however, was in the away game at FC Ingolstadt after just 25 seconds. Deniz Zeitler scored 1-0 for Bayern after a mistake by VfB defensive player Luca Mack. As a result, the FCI was clearly tone and came to further chances. Sebastian Grönning, who failed on Dennis Seimen with a penalty, missed the best opportunity. Stuttgart’s keeper had caused the penalty himself by getting Grönning off his legs.

In the second half, Stuttgart was braver, the FCI was now deeper, but switched quickly after winning gains. And came to further good opportunities, for example through Zeitler (63.) or Grönning (64th). For VfB II, Jordan Meyer scored the crossbar of the FCI goal (66.) with a slipped flank. The game was now much more open – and the Swabians came to equalize by substitute Thomas Kastanaras (79th). It was also 1: 1 at the end, Stuttgart is now in 18th place with 25 points. VfB II will receive Energie Cottbus (23.02., 1:30 p.m.), Ingolstadt has to eat a day earlier at Rot-Weiss (22.02 ., 2 p.m.) Ran.

Sandhausen loses the game and coach Kocak

SV Sandhausen near Borussia Dortmund II was deployed late on Saturday afternoon. In the 17th minute, Franz Roggow scored the goal of the day for the 1-0 home win of BVB II. SV Sandhausen not only lost the game, but also coach Kenan Kocak. After the final whistle, Kocak got up intensively at the fourth official and also exchanged a few words with referee Cristian Ballweg, after which the SVS trainer saw the red card. Kocak is therefore missing at least in the upcoming league game against SV Wehen Wiesbaden on February 23 (7:30 p.m.).
