For Heidenheim, with 22 points, the direct relegation moves to the distance. Five game days before the end, the gap to St. Pauli in 15th place is already seven points, but the lead over the first direct relegation zone is only two.

First home goal for Frankfurt’s Bahoya

The Eintracht, who had already made a refreshing appearance in the quarter-final first leg of the Europa League in the 1-1 at Tottenham Hotspur, started the game with a lot of momentum. With the first attack, the hosts played out a really good opportunity, but Bahoya (2nd) narrowly missed the cross in the five -meter room.

Shortly after Trapp representative Kaua Santos parried the first guest facility in Frankfurt’s goal against Tim Siersleben (7th), the Hesse then took the lead. After winning the ball, Ekitiké started over the left wing and found Fares Chaibi in the left half of the penalty area. He covered clever. In the center of Siersleben against three Frankfurter was a lost post and Bahoya finally extended the pass to 1-0 in the far corner.

Eintracht dominates the first half

The Dino Toppmöller team then continued fresh and at speed. Ekitiké (15th) checked with a 14-meter shot Heidenheim’s goalkeeper Kevin Müller. Arthur Theat (19th) also missed the second goal shortly afterwards. Frankfurt dictated the action and was always rapidly on the road after winning balls. Shortly before the break, the hosts then placed 2-0. Again, the Eintracht switched quickly after a conquest. In the penalty area, Ekitiké took off for Koch, who shot into the long corner from half -left to 2-0.

Heidenheim’s coach Frank Schmidt then switched during the break. With Paul Wanner and Sirlord Conteh, his team was supposed to keep the Frankfurt chain of four more and that was really good. Just a few minutes after the restart, Conteh (51.) came across the ball at the penalty point in a promising position. A little later, he put on Marvin Pieringer (57th) during a counterattack. He ran completely freely for Santos, but put the end past the goal.

Heidenheim according to changes at eye level

The FCH was in the game. Frans Krätzig and Wanner steered the game from midfield and the ball losses also caught the guests better. Frankfurt took a quarter of an hour to sort himself. Then the brisk game became more open again. Siersleben (61.) steered a sharp cross to his own crossbar. Conteh (62.) failed again on Santos and again on the other side Müller parried by foot defense against the strong Ekitiké (63.).

It looked like this, so the game could tip over with a Heidenheim goal. But it turned out differently. Frankfurt found his virtues and put the lid on it with a quick attack. Chaibi forwarded a pass from Mario Götze, who had just been substituted before, continued to depth on Nathaniel Brown, who was also substituted. His cross -pass passport only had to push the 3-0 and his 14th goal of the season across the line. This eliminated all the ambiguities.
