Holstein Kiel extends with duo

Jann-Fiete Arp and Jonas Sterner will remain with the second division football club Holstein Kiel in the long term.

As the club announced on Friday, both have extended their contracts with the North Germans until the summer of 2026. Arp, formerly at Hamburger SV and Bayern Munich, has been playing for Kiel since 2021 and is currently recovering from an injury.

“Fiete Arp showed what footballing potential he has, especially at the end of the first half of the season,” said Kiel’s sports director Uwe Stöver: “He’s a great fit for us as a guy. That’s why we’re very happy that he’s continuing to be part of the team our team is.”

Midfielder Sterner (21) comes from the Kiel youth team and is used regularly under coach Marcel Rapp.
