H&M Mitte Garten and selected H&M Group brands host #VisibleLove photo exhibition

#VisibleLove is an exhibition showing facets of queer life captured through the lens of international queer photographers. The images will be displayed in large format in selected shop windows from H&M Mitte Garten, & Other Stories, Weekday, COS, Monki and H&M as a sign of solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community during this year’s CSD in Berlin.

Container Love already presented an uncompromising queer exhibition #VisibleLove in July 2021 and took over the shop window and the interior of H&M Mitte Garten. This year, #VisibleLove will be extended to more H&M Group stores, making it the first outdoor exhibition in Berlin’s busy Mitte shopping district. The large showcases feature images that celebrate love, inclusion and diversity in an authentic way and were created by creatives from the LGBTQIA+ community. #VisibleLove speaks out against discrimination against marginalized groups and creates visibility for queer art in popular public spaces. With the exhibition, H&M Mitte Garten and participating H&M Group brands would like to raise awareness and set an example for the breaking of taboos on queer culture – and thus promote the acceptance and equality of queer fellow human beings.

“We are proud to contribute to #VisibleLove and to be able to use our reach to position ourselves against discrimination. We are convinced that this important initiative will not only have cultural value, but also have a positive influence in and for the communities,” says Stiliana Stoyanova, PR & Event Manager Mitte Garten.

Visibility is the direct route to more equality. The #VisibleLove exhibition series shows that queerness exists, that we shouldn’t be degraded or live in the shadow of society,” says Christian Ruess, Founder & Creative Director Container Love.
