Hiroki Ito is about to make a comeback at FC Bayern: the defender returned to team training.
The signs point to a comeback: Hiroki Ito took part in FC Bayern team training for the first time on Friday. However, the 26-year-old is not yet an option for the top game in the Bundesliga against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday evening (6.30 p.m. in the live ticker on t-online).
The Japanese international suffered a metatarsal fracture in a duel with FC St. Pauli at the end of March for the second time since moving to Munich. Shortly after his move from VfB Stuttgart in July 2024, Itō was out with an injury to his right foot.
A second operation further delayed his return. Since his move, he has only played eight competitive games for the club.
