We listened extensively through the rap re-releases. Here’s our take on it.
We listened through the new releases of Kontra K, Samy Deluxe, Capital Bra ft. ILATCH, Takt32 ft. Monet192 and RAF Camora ft. Hoodblaq. From heartbreak to street stories to gangsta rap, everything is included.
Kontra K – “Something real”
In his new track, Kontra K wishes for “Was Echtes” and shows his more emotional side. In the single release – from his album DIE HOFFNUNG KRAUT MIR NIEMAND, which is due out in November – the German rapper addresses what he is looking for in his potential partner in crime.

Produced by Beatzarre and Djorkaeff, the song also deals with the negative sides of a love story. Kontra K explains that for him a relationship means not only loyalty, but also pain and strife. Characteristic of the 36-year-old, he uses natural elements for the music video and shows himself framed by the raging sea, among other things.
Bar 32 ft. Monet192 – “At Home”
For his new single “Zu Haus”, Takt32 gets support from the Swiss rapper Monet192. In it, the two talk about the duality of a love relationship, which is about longings, fears, but also about security – about the one person who makes you feel at home. Rap and R’n’B meet on a beat by Efe and Noizy. In fact, the melody manages to nestle smoothly into the meaning of the track.
Capital Bra ft. ILATCH – “El Naseeni”
For Capital Bra’s new track “El Naseeni” (feat. ILATCH), the German rapper goes into the desert. Matching the location, Capi starts the song in Arabic and later continues rapping in German. ILATCH, the new signing from Capital Bra, provides a coherent hook and sings in Arabic. To the beat of TAC, Capital Bra lyrically celebrates his success and shows his gratitude for it. “El Naseeni” is a laid back track that offers summer hit potential.
Samy Deluxe ft. DJ Desue – “Red Velor”
Samy Deluxe presents us with “Roter Velour” with clean old school rap. The native of Hamburg combines the pillars of hip-hop in his music video: graffiti, breakdance and rap. And when should it be more appropriate to show the genre classics in New York than for his 50th birthday?! Maybe a new Samy Deluxe record, because the 45-year-old also used the single, which was created in collaboration with DJ Desue, to announce his latest work HOCHKULTUR 2 for August 11th.
RAF Camora ft Hoodblaq – “Tropicana”
Joining forces with rap group Hoodblaq, RAF Camora brings us densely packed street rap with their new track “Tropicana.” The boys’ language style meets the fast and catchy flow of Menju, who has already put together a few beats for RAF Camora together with the producers The Royals, Neal & Alex, RAF Camora and The Cratez. This is one of the reasons why the song gives us a party atmosphere typical of RAF Camora.
