In the woman, after being taken into custody, a specified personality disorder with antisocial, narcissistic and schizoid characteristics is established. What is particularly striking is “the coldness and calculation, the lack of repentance and a lack of empathy with the animals.”
However, the conversations with the suspect are written by the experts as ‘pleasant’ and ‘socially desirable’, but they still doubt the sincerity of her regret. They suspect that she would especially be disappointed that she came into contact with the judiciary instead of regretting what she has done to the animals. “We are all staring into a large, black hole,” said a probation employee during the content treatment.
TBS with conditions: no pets
The court in Lelystad considers all suspicions proven. She is sentenced to 134 days. That is as long as her time in custody, so she doesn’t have to go back into the cell.
She does get TBS with conditions. For example, she is not allowed to go abroad, she must be treated in a forensic psychiatric clinic and she is not allowed to keep pets.
“When determining the amount of the prison sentence, the court took into account the importance of the suspect, in view of its problems, to start the treatment in the context of the TBS with conditions imposed on it as soon as possible,” it can be read in the ruling.
