Deep in the night from Friday 11 to Saturday 12 April things go wrong on the busy Groest in Hilversum. There is a fight between two groups of young people, with a fight and ultimately even a stabbing as a result.
Three Hilversummers, two of 19 and one of 20 years old, are injured. Two of them have to go to the hospital with heavy stab wounds.
After the stabbing, which takes place just before the police station, the suspects take the legs towards the station. Later that Saturday, two men will be arrested. It is a 20-year-old man from Woudenberg and a 20-year-old man from Alphen aan den Rijn.
‘Barely survived’
But today it is the 19-year-old DP from Hilversum who enters the court in Lelystad for the first time. He is quiet and looks tense. When the judge asks him about his home address, he cannot remember it right away. If the judge lists it, it comes to mind again. “Oja.”
He is still stuck and says he is having a hard time in the penitentiary design. He does not waste many words further. Finally, he adds that he still regrets what happened and that he remembers the situation differently than he saw on the camera images.
He would have put the two victims in their upper fives several times and would have kicked and kicked a third victim. The two victims of the stabbing would have “barely survived”, thanks in part to the rapid actions of the police, says the public prosecutor.
That is why the Hilversummer is suspected of twice attempted manslaughter and open violence in public spaces, resulting in serious physical injury.
The suspect gets stuck
Nevertheless, the suspect’s lawyer argues for suspending the pre -trial detention. That would mean that the suspect can wait for the process freely. One of the reasons for this request is that there would have been a bad weather.
But the judge does not agree with that. There are currently too few starting points for bad weather. The case must also be dealt with in content. So the Hilversummer is still stuck for the time being.
The next pro forma session is scheduled for October 14.
