Finnish Hockey League Association HIFK informs Johan Motinin extension agreement.

The 32-year-old Swedish defender, who has played in Helsinki for the last four seasons, will continue in Stad for the next two seasons.

– Johan is a very important piece of the team. He plays hard and in line with values ​​and is arguably the best defensive defender in the series. Motini’s importance to the team is most visible when he is not in the line-up, HIFK’s sports director Tobias Salmelainen commented in the press release.

Motin arrived in Finland for the period 2017–18 in Rauma Lock. From there, the journey continued after one season in HIFK’s shirt.

Motin himself says that he enjoyed himself well in Helsinki.

– I think I have played better every season and I want it to continue in the future. I’m not going to leave here without a championship, Motin says in a press release.

Motin has been boning on the back lines of HIFK at a good basic level and has scored 12-15 points in each regular season in the regular season.
