If you don’t want certain WhatsApp conversations to be read at a glance, you can hide chats from your history. It is not necessary to completely delete your conversations, because there is another possibility.
Create WhatsApp archive
Some chats are not for everyone. Since the delete function makes the conversations disappear forever, you can also easily move your messages to the archive and add them back to the normal list if necessary.
The procedure is at iOS-Similar to Apple devices and Android smartphones. For iPhone, users need to find the desired message history and then swipe left. Then an archive box will appear and the chat will be moved within a few seconds.
If you want to use the function on your Android device, you can open a menu with a long press on the respective chat. The item “Archive” appears and the archiving process can be completed.
Get conversations from the archive
At some point there will come a time when you will want to add your chat histories back to the original list. Apple device owners will find their archive at the top of their chat list. Then click on the desired conversation and remove it from the archive by clicking on “Undo”.
Android users will have to scroll to the bottom of their chat list to find the archive. There you look for the desired course again and can move the chat back to the original list by clicking on the corresponding character.
WhatsApp with additional new function
In order not to let very private messages come to light under any circumstances, WhatsApp has also developed a function with which messages delete themselves after a certain period of time. In each chat, users can activate this function and select in which of the three specified periods (24 hours, 7 days, 90 days) the chat should be deleted. This is how secret messages really stay secret.
