Manager Ferenc Rott said of the incident: “This disgusting act – also by a direct confidant – is just shocking and has affected us all very much.” The situation was discussed intensively with the team. The players stuck together and decided to play the game against Bietigheim. The game took place on Wednesday evening (19 January), Metzingen lost 20:32. “We won’t let something like that get us down – and the fact that the team wants to play handball again immediately sends a very strong signal. We received a lot of support from the police, the association and other teams during this difficult time. That helps, of course, and that’s why Thank you,” said Rott. He did not want to comment on further details at the moment.

The Handball Bundesliga Women (HBF) reacted “shocked” and assured TuS “full support”. “We condemn this reprehensible act in the strongest possible terms,” ​​it said in a statement on Thursday. “Such a criminal act contradicts all the values ​​​​that we as HBF represent together with our clubs.”

Filming also in the changing room of the SG BBM Bietigheim

The handball players of the SG BBM Bietigheim have experienced a similar case. In September, a 55-year-old man is said to have installed three cameras in the showers during a Bundesliga handball game between Buchholz 08 Rosengarten and SG BBM Bietigheim. The cameras were therefore hidden behind dummy light switches. The case only recently became public.
