RRome, June 19th. (askanews) – The first trailer of Hexe: The Kingdom of Witchesthe new Disney film that will arrive nin Italian cinemas on November 26th. Directed by Fawn Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand, with co-direction by Josie Trinidad, it is the 65th animated feature film from Walt Disney Animation Studios.

The trailer presents Billie, an impulsive and non-conformist teenagerand his mother Alice, a very prudent woman. When Billie accidentally unleashes secret magical powers, she is catapulted out of the suburbs where she lives into a magical kingdom called Hexe, where she is welcomed by Ms. Quill and Elias Quire. The girl will uncover family mysteries that could change the magical world of witches forever.
Director Fawn Veerasunthorn said: “There’s a wonderfully strange phenomenon happening around Billie, something she can’t explain. He is a person who has always felt out of place in his life, and only by leaving her normal world behind and entering a hidden world of crazy and unleashed magic does she begin to understand herself.”
A journey of self-discovery, between family secrets and magic
“Hexe is where Billie starts to feel truly seen for the first time in her life,” said director Jason Hand. “She embarks on a journey of self-discovery that reveals to her a strong connection with magic and, in this journey, he brings to light long-hidden secrets about his family.”
Hailee Steinfeld and Rashida Jones, already announced in the original voice cast, are joined by Tracey Ullman, winner of seven Emmy Awards (The Tracey Ullman Show, Tracey Takes On, Bullets Over Broadway, Robin Hood – A Man in Tights), who voices the enchanted quill Ms. Quill, and Stephen Fry (The Interrogator, the trilogy of The Hobbit, Gosford Park, Jeeves and Wooster, V for Vendetta) as the magical diary Elias Quire.
