Het Witte Paard presents summer shows: with Geert Hoste behind the scenes

De Bruggeling was presented last summer as a strategic director to prepare Het Witte Paard for the future.

Three shows a day

Next summer, three own shows will take place in the well-known revue hall for the first time. Investor Marc Coucke wants to make Blankenberge the entertainment center of the coast.

“We are going to three shows, two in the afternoon, one evening show. Jan Van Dyke is coming back, each of the shows has been further expanded. Jacky Lafon is coming back. So we have a very intense program that we hope will be evident and cheerful looks and people are going to have fantastic afternoons and evenings. But know that there is a lot behind it, they are already working on it. And I think it will be a fantastic summer,” says Marc Coucke.

Geert Hoste behind the scenes

Last summer they brought the Bruges comedian Geert Hoste to Blankenberge. He must help ensure the future of the revue hall. But behind the scenes. What will you see from Geert Hoste during the shows?

“Very little, because I don’t want to intervene when an artist comes up with his own show,” says Geert Hoste. “No, stand-up comedy like I did is very different from the revue. And the revue as we bring it to Het Witte Paard is laughter and dance and music from A to Z. There has never been much dance and music with me . I had a reason for that.”

Talent on stage

Many established names on stage, such as Jacky Lafon and Patrick Onzia. But also young and fresh names such as Ianthe Tavernier and Celien Hermans.

“I used to be here very often as a child,” says Celien. “My mother also participated in Het Witte Paard a number of times. That was always a trip in the summer to Blankenberge, you should see the show of the White Horse So very nostalgic that I can now stand on stage myself.”
