Gordon is critical of the voice of Claude, the 21-year-old singer who this year is going to the Eurovision Song Contest on behalf of our country. “He was not entirely voice -resistant on the preparty.”

It was an outright drama in 2009: the participation of Gordon and his then Toppers colleagues in the Eurovision Song Contest. The gentlemen did not even come through the semi -final. This year’s entry, Claude, it seems to do much better. He is standing by the bookmakers Even in fifth place and therefore seems to end quite high.

“This is the winner!”

Yet Gordon thinks that Claude has to work on his voice. And that is striking criticism from someone who was under fire last year because he sang enormously false with his album presentation. In fact: he was mocked about that for weeks today, something the singer is still very angry about.

He tells YourSafe Radio In principle to be very enthusiastic about Claude. “After one minute that I had heard it, I thought: this is the winner. Yes. I think he will score very high.”

‘Beautiful Smile’

Gordon will comment this year together with Andy van der Meijde via the internet during the Songfestival. “Because we are going to give the comments, I really studied the songs that are there. There are a few competitors. Sweden really has a sensational good song. That is really a fantastic song too.”

Yet he finds our own act more fun. “I think he is partly because of his personality and beautiful smile … I think he also has a great dance act.”

Voice -resistant

However, there is one big risk, Goor thinks. “The only thing I’m worried about: I heard him at the Eurovision Amsterdam party and there he was not entirely voice. Yes, I hope he will get it under control, and then I estimate the chance very high.”

Finally, that we don’t forget: “I was also the victory of Arcade, isn’t it, with Duncan Laurence.”
