Second division Hertha BSC is increasing with a top talent of record champions Bayern Munich. The 19 -year -old Maurice Krattenmacher changes loan to the capital for one year. The offensive player was most recently traveling with the German champion at the club World Cup in the USA. Krattenmacher was not used.
“Maurice is a very exciting player and, despite his young age, already has plenty of experience. He gives our offensive with his creativity and carefree additional components and we are pleased that he has chosen us,” explained sports director Benjamin Weber.
Krattenmacher knows the 2nd league well: Last season, Bayern had awarded SSV Ulm to the complained Youngster, which came from Unterhaching in 2024. There he was one of the top performers of the relegation with 33 competitive players (three goals, eight templates). Bayern did not escape this, who brought the German junior national player back from Ulm early after the end of the season. Now he should develop in Berlin.
Krattenmacher could fill Maza gap at Hertha
It is a small coup for the Hertha: the ten, in which many other clubs are said to have been interested, could fill the gap that creative players Ibrahim Maza left with his move to Bayer Leverkusen. Hertha coach Stefan Leitl had recently spoken of the fact that this departure had to be compensated. Krattenmacher could now help. However, the position behind the tips are also possible for top performers Michaël Cuisance and Kevin Sessa.
Christoph Freund, Sports Director of FC Bayern, said to the loan: “Maurice is a promising talent – and talents need game practice to gain valuable experience. He had quickly established himself in Ulm last season, now he should continue to develop at Hertha BSC. We will support him and continue to watch. Maurice is a player with great potential and the right attitude to make his way.”
