March 22, 2026 – 3:30 p.mReading time: 1 min.

In a game with seven goals, Hertha BSC celebrates a spectacular comeback. Magdeburg pushes its opponent to last place in the table.
Second division team Hertha BSC won 5-2 at Fortuna Düsseldorf and thus preserved their minimal chances in the promotion fight. The capital club turned a 0-1 deficit into a 4-1 victory in the first half. Captain Fabian Reese almost single-handedly initiated the turnaround with a brace and an assist.
This means that the capital city club has reduced the gap to second place and the relegation place to at least seven points. SV Elversberg currently occupies the direct promotion spot and is level on points with pursuers SC Paderborn.
Holstein Kiel celebrated an important success in the relegation battle with a 3-2 win at VfL Bochum. In the basement duel with Preußen Münster, SC Magdeburg was able to send a sign of life with a 3-1 away win. Magdeburg thus moved past Münster in the table and pushed its opponent into last place.
