Did they stand as a season goal internally? Otherwise, all these desolate transfers cannot be explained:/
Hertha just has no money. It’s even so bad that the potential replacement almost exclusively flow into the preservation of the license for League 2. You just have to get creative.
Either you have come to terms with the 2nd Bundesliga for the time being and want to “play as much as possible” with experienced players.
I had to think about the transfer summer of Eintracht Frankfurt when they had relegated when they were relegated in 2011. This was also very unexpting, very unreal, (medium) old players without greater development potential.
However, this gave up again and have released half of these new additions again and replaced them with players whose skill set fits the Bundesliga and which again offer more development potential.
I don’t say that Hertha pursues this goal or you should expect it.
But I think that playing and requirements for players in the 2nd Bundesliga are so different than in the Bundesliga that you can also put a squad together completely differently and can still be successful. And then you continue to see.
