Hertha BSC: FC Augsburg is probably interested in Marc Oliver Kempf

Uremovic wants to go

At Hertha BSC there could still be a lot going on in defense before the transfer deadline next Friday. The “Picture“ reports on FC Augsburg’s interest in Marc Oliver Kempf (28), who is the most valuable professional in the Berlin squad with a market value of 3.5 million euros. Teammate Filip Uremovic (26) also wants to leave the club.

Kempf joined Berlin from VfB Stuttgart for €500,000 in January last year and since then he has made 49 appearances (one goal/one assist), including three in the 2nd Bundesliga. In the 5-0 win over SpVgg Fürth on Saturday, he was back in the starting XI. The fact that Kempf spends this season in the lower house should not be part of his plans. In mid-June, the “kicker” said that the former DFB junior wanted to say goodbye again and go to the first division. It is questionable whether there would be room for him in Augsburg, because there are six central defenders under contract.

“With Leistner, at least on paper, he forms one of the best central defense duos in the second division. If Hertha is not absolutely dependent on getting him off the payroll, he should be given an appropriate price tag,” commented user “Uckermaerker” on the TM forum.

Kempf would “definitely not” sell “Dentinho83”. He hopes to stay. “CAPTAINstonie” meanwhile sees Hertha as solidly positioned in this position: “With Márton Dárdai, Gechter and Klemens you would have three young players in the pipeline – plus the injured Rogel. However, only Dárdai is left-footed. Coach Pál actually always prefers a right and left foot in the IV.”

Filip Uremovic wants to leave Hertha BSC: without action this season

In the case of Uremovic, on the other hand, a move abroad is said to be in the offing. Where to, however, is unclear. The player side and Hertha had recently discussed a transfer, it is said. Uremovic has played 23 games (one goal) since arriving on a free transfer last season and, like Kempf, is under contract in Berlin until 2026. In contrast to Kempf, coach Pál Dárdai’s Croatian was not used in the new season in the league, and he was even missing from the squad against Fürth.

20 players with a total value of 75.1 million euros left Hertha this summer, and the club earned almost 32 million euros from sales. 3.6 million euros were spent, which only FC Schalke 04 surpasses in a league comparison.
