Herman van der Zandt presents the Top 2000 a gogo this year. The native of Breda takes over from Matthijs van Nieuwkerk, who was sidelined by the NTR after a publication by de Volkskrant about transgressive behavior at De Wereld Draait Door.
“In Herman we have found a presenter who is a fan of the program, knows a lot about music and has a lot of experience with programs that appeal to a wide audience. The Top 2000 team is looking forward to presenting the Top 2000 with Herman and Leo. cafe,” says Willemijn Francissen, media director at broadcaster NTR.
“I have a broad taste in music, but I am also mainly a child of the 80s.”
Van der Zandt is looking forward to it. “The NTR has asked me to host this beloved program for once. It is difficult for me to put that aside. The Top 2000 cafĂ© is familiar territory for me. I have a broad taste in music, but I am also primarily a child of the 1980s. Together with Leo and the editors, I want to make it a great year-end.”
The Top 2000 quiz, which is normally broadcast in the run-up to Radio 2’s music list, will be canceled this year.
