Heritage war in one of the richest families in Flanders: two daughters fight for 243 million euros from controversial bingo king Willy Michiels | Inland

It occurs not only in the best families, but also in the richest. More than two years after the death of East Flemish bingo and real estate king Willy Michiels (82) – one of the most controversial businessmen our country has ever known – his daughters Veerle and Mieke are still fighting a dogged inheritance war. In addition to a classic car collection and even a water castle, father Willy amassed at least 243 million euros during his life. Easy to divide between the two you would think, but not so for the sisters – who literally can’t even go through one door anymore.
