At the start of the World Cup qualification, Germany meets Slovenia. t-online explains where you can watch the game live.

The German women’s national team will only qualify directly for the 2027 World Cup in Brazil as group winners. The qualifying starts next Tuesday against Slovenia. Four days later, national coach Christian Wück’s selection has to play against Norway in Stavanger.

Even before the first duel, the DFB women had to accept individual setbacks: In addition to defender Sophia Kleinherne, the team was also missing Selina Cerci. The TSG Hoffenheim striker, who currently leads the Bundesliga’s top scorers list along with Leverkusen’s Vanessa Fudalla, is out due to injury. For the 25-year-old, Wück nominated a debutante, Larissa Mühlhaus. Jella Veit moved into the squad for Kleinherne.

It remains to be seen what impact the failures will have on the duel with Slovenia. In any case, the balance speaks clearly for Germany: in four meetings, the DFB women always left the pitch as winners. In 2013, Germany beat Slovenia 13-0, followed by a 4-0 win in 2014 and a 6-0 win in 2017. In the last duel the German team won 4-0.

The World Cup qualifying match between Germany and Slovenia will be broadcast on ARD on Tuesday. Kick-off at the Rudolph Harbig Stadium in Dresden is at 5:45 p.m. The duel can also be seen in the live stream in the ARD media library.
