Every week egg farmers and egg traders sit together to agree on the Belgian target price for the egg. Yesterday the official part of the meeting was ready after two minutes. For a brown free -range egg of 62.5 grams – the most popular variant – the producer will get 17.36 cents for the next eight days. Last year it received on average six cents less for the same egg. “With such a prizes you are rapidly matching, of course.”
