Bosch, who was crowned the winner, was in the middle of a commotion before the final of the competition. He drifted into disagreements with a representative of the Thai competition organization. Bosch accused the representative of inappropriate behavior.
Based on the social media videos, the contestants who were in the situation seemed to be on Miss Mexico’s side, as they stood up next to Bosch during the speech. When Bosch stepped out of the event, several competitors left with him.
Finland’s representative Dzafce later told Iltalehti that it was a misunderstanding.
– A representative of the organization came to say that there will be a short break. Then most of the group left the premises, Dzafce told Iltalehte earlier.
– A pretty big misunderstanding in itself, that social media made it look like a large group marched after Miss Mexico as if in a demonstration.
There has been a lot of buzz around the Miss Universe competition this year.
Earlier this week, one of the judges claimed that the 30 finalists of the competition had already been chosen before the judges voted.
The Miss Universe organization denied the claim. However, the referee decided to leave the race.
In addition, another judge withdrew from the competition citing personal reasons.
In the past, competitors also withdrew from the race. Represented Iceland Helena O’Connor and represented Germany Diana Fast withdrew citing personal reasons.
The competition was held this year in Thailand.
