The reigning hockey men’s Finnish champion KalPa has announced his captain for the upcoming season. The tasks will be handled in the future Jaakko Rissanen.
KalPa’s captain changes because Tuomas Kiiskinen ended his long career last season.
35-year-old Rissanen has represented KalPa continuously since 2021-2022 after returning to Finland from international years. He played in the 2017-2021 KHL and SHL.
Rissanen is KalPan raised and has played most of her career in Kuopio.
The central striker rose to the top of the Kuopio club last season Kiiskinen. Rissanen has played 581 League regular season matches in KalPa, with points 115+260 = 375.
At the end of last spring, he was able to celebrate the club’s first Finnish championship with KalPa.
