Tuisku cleared Imatra’s top ten in 32:59.6. Huerta’s time was 34:00.7.

Iltalehti told Huerta’s story in 2021. You can read the story at this link.

– It was horrible. I kept falling over. I walked maybe a kilometer on skis. It took 45 minutes. At that point, it felt the worst when the small children and grandmothers passed by. The first time was supposed to be the last, but it wasn’t, Huerta said in 2021 about his first time skiing.

To date, the 42-year-old has had time to participate in the World Championships in Oberstdorf in 2021 and the World Championships in Planica in 2023. The best result is the 120th place in the free sprint in Planica.

Huerta has made several starts at the WC.

Tuisku also left behind, among others, people living in the capital region Roni Zeininwho, like Huerta, has skied in the World Championships. Representing the Espoo Skiing Club, Zein’s trip to the 2019 World Cup in Seefeld was made possible by the fact that one of his parents is from Lebanon.

Zein is four years younger than Tuisku. Zein’s time on Saturday at Imatra was 34:02.4.

The women’s championship gold on Saturday was won on the same trip Anne Kyllönen at 29.02.0.
