The semi-final of the tango market song competition was contested today, Saturday, May 23, in Hyvinkää Hall in Hyvinkää.
In the semi-finals, the power passed from the audience to the jury, who chose four female and four male contestants for the final.
The jury of the competition this year includes singer Annika Eklund, singer Maria Lund and a Yle representative, radio journalist and musician Pekka Laine. As usual, the 2010 tango king Marko Maunuksela is the chairman of the jury.

The Seinäjoki Tango market is organized from Wednesday to Sunday, 8-12. July. The final of the singing competition will be held on Saturday, July 11. The competition is televised by Yle.
The final broadcast of the singing competition will be hosted by Katja Ståhl and Mikko Kekäläinen.
The reigning tango royalty are Hanna Hirvonen and Veeti Tikkanen.
