Alko’s recent sales statistics reveal which wines were the most lost in Finns’ shopping baskets during 2023.
The most popular of the wines was white wine. Liter sales of white wines surpassed red wines in 2022. The trend continued to strengthen in 2023 as well. The change in Finns’ wine taste is related to the current trend, which especially favors light and fresh flavors.

In 2023, approximately 76.9 million liters of beverages were purchased from Alko.
Per liter sales of red wines fell by five percent.
The liter sales of white wines decreased by 2.1 percent.
The liter sales of sparkling wines decreased by 5.6 percent.
Sales of rosé wines increased by 0.2 percent.
