Chef Henri Alen says that he has sold his share in the Muru group. In his Instagram post, Alén described it as the biggest thing in his professional career.

– What feelings? Anyone who has sold something that is a big part of their professional identity knows that. Wistful but relieved, Alén wrote.

With the sale, Alén is no longer involved in the business of Ravintola Muru, Pastis, Fiasco? and VillaLilla, which are part of the group. Alén will also be left out of Muru’s wine imports.

Alén says that he acquired a colleague in the store Timo Linnamäki together with the shares of Finnjäveli, Muru-Baby and Prego, which were part of the Muru group.

– All of us owners agreed that the road had been completed and the restaurants were so wonderful that everyone deserves the best possible people to run them, Alén reasoned.

Alén says that next he will focus on the Finnjävel concept together with Linnamäki and Tommi Tuominen with.

– Finnjäveli’s mission is to raise the appreciation of Finnish food culture to the level it deserves. To show the world who we are, where we come from and where we are going, Alén said.

Alén and Tuominen started Finnjävel in the spring of 2016. The concept is based on Finnish food tradition and the modernization of traditional dishes.
