Alén prefers traditional party favors, especially sandwich cake is his absolute favorite, but one dish could already be forgotten for Alén.
– You could forget the cocktail meatballs. A stick with cheese and a store-bought meatball could already be a thing of the past.

– I’m not a stick person, and I’m not a prepared meatball person, Alén laughs.

Instead, sandwich cakes Alén could be baked for a long time.
– The sandwich cake is great. I think it’s part of the party. A sandwich cake is festive, not an everyday dish, Alén praises.

A good sandwich cake has enough filling. It is suitably moist, but not wet. The filling and the bread are in good proportion.
The cake must not be too greasy either. Alén has noticed that there is often too much whipped cream or a similar ingredient in the sandwich cake.
Alén assures that he has yet to meet a person who doesn’t like sandwich cake. In addition to sandwich cakes, all savory pies are great party food, according to Alén.

– For example, the rhubarb strawberry cake and brita cake are outrageously good, and Ellen Svinhufvud’s cake is also genius. I really like rich, sweet, old-fashioned cream cakes.
