Martijn Krabbé’s life has changed completely: last March he announced his cancer diagnosis and a few months later it turned out that he had suddenly gained a lot of weight. “The consequences? For the time being, only an unstoppable appetite (I already had), insomnia (nothing new) and muscle relaxation (it was already slowly starting to collapse),” he said at the time.

Now, a week after New Year’s Eve, Martijn has posted another photo of himself and it shows that his face looks much more bloated than then.
Hélène Hendriks is very shocked by this. She agrees The Orange Winter from last night: “We saw today – and that really shocked me – a photo of Martijn Krabbé. We can show that.”
When the photo comes into view, there is a commotion in the studio.
‘It was scary’
Table guest Jack van Gelder has the same feeling. “It was shocking, it is indeed confrontational.”
