An expert reveals the constant hit of many prisoners and is surprised himself.
In German prisons, Helene Fischer’s songs, such as “Atemlos durch die Nacht” and “Herzbeben”, are played on a continuous loop. Expert and prison coach Peter William Meyer now reveals this love for the hit queen.
Peter William Meyer, who was in prison for four and a half years for bank robbery, prepares his clients for their sentence. This gives him some inside information, as he tells “Netflixwoche”: “I thought I would find a few guys in prison who also listen to rock music, Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones, Iggy Pop. But no! 80 percent of the men in prison listen to Helene Fischer! “I have no idea what they’re projecting onto it,” says a stunned Meyer during the conversation.
If the pop singer knew this, she might plan a few additional shows in prisons during her current tour. Helene Fischer will be traveling with Cirque du Soleil in Germany, Austria and Switzerland until October 8th. Tickets are available here.
