Wheelchair winder Esa-Pekka Mattila33, is in quite good shape.

Mattila, who competes in the T54 class, published a video on her Twitter account on Sunday in which she lifts 135 kilos in a bench press.

– Sunday fears. The end of a successful spring strength season: Bench 135kg x 3 ~60kg. Next week, time to move on to more explosive power, Mattila wrote alongside her video.

Several of Mattila’s followers have commented on the video and praised the athlete’s performance.

In her text, Mattila also thanks her coach Leo-Pekka Star. According to Mattila, the Olympic champion has built a good program for his protégé.

Tähti started coaching Mattila in 2020. Tähti told Iltalehti in 2021 that he has known Mattila since 2004.

Mattila had asked a sports legend to be his coach.

Mattila has competed in three Olympics in her career: London, Rio and Tokyo. In his career, he has won, among other things, bronze at the European Championship 2021.

Mattila serves as the chairman of both the Finnish Olympic Committee and the Paralympic Committee’s athlete committee.
