Michael Schumacher’s former carer and his activities have come to the fore in the F1 legend’s blackmail trial.
Quoting the German news agency Dpa Corriere della sera website says The prosecutor of the trial in Wuppertal is interested in the 30-year-old woman and her part in the extortion of the Schumacher family.
There are currently three people accused, one of whom is the former security guard of the Schumacher family.
The trio is accused of trying to blackmail the F1 legend’s family with material about the seriously injured Schumacher. In addition, the blackmailers had the health information of Schumacher, who had a serious brain injury.
The role of the fourth person, a 30-year-old woman, in the extortion operation came to light in the trial. The defendants said that he handed over sensitive material to a security guard.
According to the defendants, the purpose of the blackmail was the woman’s money worries.
The woman who worked as Schumacher’s nurse was fired from her position, as the family was not satisfied with her work.
– We had problems with both him and the treatment he provided. We saw unpleasant things. He left first, and then the security guard, the spokesperson for the Schumacher family, the former manager of the F1 star Sabine Kehm told the trial.
According to Kehm, the nurse and the security guard of the Schumacher family had an affair.
According to dpa, the prosecutor is interested in the allegations about the 30-year-old woman’s role in extortion. It now intends to investigate possible further steps to bring the woman to justice and to start an investigation.
15 million euros were sought from Schumacher’s family. The extortionists were caught in June.
