Eva Jinek appeared heavily pregnant at her editorial office yesterday morning to explain why she is abandoning them, four years after she dragged everyone along to RTL 4. “How was that?”
It is the biggest TV transfer news of the year so far: Eva Jinek will return to the public broadcaster after the turn of the year after a period of four years at RTL 4. At the time, the presenter took almost her entire editorial staff to the commercial channel, but now she is taking off. She gave text and explanations on the editorial floor yesterday.
Bomb explodes
Carlo Boszhard revealed this last night in Renze Klamer’s talk show, which is also produced by Eva’s editorial staff (they do work full-time). “I can imagine – this program is also made with Eva Jinek’s team – that you think: a bomb has exploded for a while. Then something will happen to your editors.”
Renze replies: “It is of course a team that largely consists of people who went with her from KRO-NCRV to RTL at the time and who dedicate a large part of their lives to it and do it fantastically. Humberto, Beau and I can also use it with great pleasure, but certainly yes, that does something.”
Eva to editor
Carlo: “Did you notice some of that atmosphere behind the scenes?”
Renze: “What is this for…”
Carlo: “Can’t I ask? I heard that Eva Jinek was also here this afternoon. She addressed everyone.”
Renze: “This morning, yes.”
Carlo: “Were you there too? How did it go?”
Renze: “I will leave that moment for her and her team. I texted her myself yesterday, so I wasn’t there. You would have to ask those people that, but it was of course just as good to provide some explanation.”
Bit quiet
Carlo: “But people didn’t say to you: that was fun or that was good or?”
Renze: “It was good. That seems logical to me, that if you work for someone you can look them in the eye and ask: ‘Hey, what’s the plan? What’s going to happen?’ However?”
Carlo: “I think you are still a bit quiet. You don’t show the back of your tongue.”
Renze: “I am not the person to talk about it completely.”
Carlo: “But it is your team too.”
Renze: “Yes, I am very happy with it. Last summer I was also able to do four weeks with them and now again, so in that sense it is of course no longer just Eva’s team, but also Beau, Humberto and me.”
Insecurity
Show connoisseur Bart Ettekoven states in Shownieuws that Eva’s editors feel insecure. “It is a bit more uncertain for the editors, because a lot of people went from the NPO to RTL at the time. What does it mean for them and which people are so attached to Eva that they want to come back to AvroTros?”
The editorial staff falls under TV producer PilotStudio. Carlo to Renze: “I do wonder if she will also take PilotStudio, which produces this, to the AvroTros.”

Renze: “Well, I’m not from PilotStudio, I’m from RTL.”
Carlo: “Will we find out tonight?”
Renze: “I don’t think so, no. But it’s gone for a while, isn’t it? She won’t start working there until January and then maybe something has to be made first. I think there is still some time to think about it.”
Carlo: “I am sorry that she is leaving. I don’t know what you think?”
Renze: “Certainly, absolutely.”
