Heaviest floods in 50 years in Outback east of Australia: “The size of the destruction is unimaginable”

The state of Queensland, in the northeast of Australia, is plagued by the worst floods in 50 years. A huge area in the outback is under water. The regional government has announced that the affected region now covers around 450,000 square kilometers, just about the surface of Sweden.
