The series is inspired by a series of novels by Rachel Reid (titled Game Changers), transformed into an audiovisual success by the Canadian platform Crave and then made available all over the world. As often happens in TV series set in the sporting universe, this is a pretext to address complex issues, a necessary setting with its implications of competition, rivalry, victories and defeats.
Heated Rivalry also helps to open a reflection on the theme ofhomosexuality in sport and the difficulty of coming out.
For those who love stories in which sport encourages the development of delicate issues in society.
