The Norwegian twins recalled the early stages of their career in a podcast interview.
Norwegian singers Marcus and Martin claim in an interview with the Nemo Möter en Vän podcast that they were cheated in the early stages of their career.
The two say that their former manager would have cheated them out of up to ten million Norwegian kroner. According to the duo, the incident happened when they were just child stars.
– He took a lot of money from us and then there was a small trust problem. And so it is in the music business. You can’t trust almost 98% of the people you talk to, they said on the podcast.

However, the singers did not provide further details about the incident or the perpetrator. After the experience, the singers wanted to gather a reliable team around them. They also joke on the podcast that their father is understandably overprotective.
Marcus and Martinus rose to great popularity in 2012 when they won Melodi Grand Prix Junior – competition. The explosive popularity continued when their debut album Hello was published in 2015.
Two years ago, the brothers represented Sweden in Eurovision with a song Unforgettable. They finished 9th in the final.
The duo has also performed in Finland. They told Iltalehti in 2024 that sometimes the fans are too eager for them.
– Sometimes fans come to our home in Trofori. It is the place where we want to rest, Martinus said.
– Eurovision was a fantastic experience. We worked a lot, in addition to the show itself, as there were a lot of interviews. We are really crazy after the wise men. But I will remember that experience forever.
