Paul Römer, John de Mol’s right-hand man, finds it incredibly irritating that Tim Hofman is recording unsolicited telephone conversations all the time. “Talking about privacy!”
Tim Hofman will release a sequel to his much-discussed documentary about abuse behind the scenes of The Voice of Holland this afternoon. It seems that he is going to accuse John de Mol that the media billionaire knew more about this than he initially said. A preview shows how Tim contacts Paul Römer by phone.
‘with Paul’
It is a very short passage in which Tim makes an interview request (see below). “With Paul”, it sounds. Tim: “Hi, Paul, you are talking to Tim Hofman from BOOS/BNNVARA. We would like to take up the offer from you and John for a second interview with John.”
Was Paul shocked by that request? “No, the first thing I thought when he called is: Gosh, he will probably record this conversation, because he does that every time,” he replies. NPO Radio 1. “Speaking of privacy.”
Not shocked
Tim also called very cleverly with another number, according to Paul. “He called and I didn’t see his number because he called his editor’s phone and it’s not on my list, so I just picked up. It was Tim Hofman, so I said, “Hello Tim.” No, I am not shocked.”
Had he seen the bell coming? “I heard what he asked and he asked for a follow-up interview with John, because indeed we said after last time, ‘You know, if there are more revelations, we have nothing to hide, you can always call.’ He did now.”
Incriminating evidence
Tim then explained that he has incriminating material. “He called and he said: ‘We have material that would show that John de Mol was aware of more than one case at the time of the first BOOS interview.’ Well, ladies and gentlemen, listeners: spoiler alert. That is not the case, so that was very clear.”
John has decided not to comment on the allegations. “That would be a repeat of moves.”
ANGRY
BOOS can be seen on YouTube this afternoon at 4 p.m. The broadcast has already been completely written off by the stars of John de Mol. They completely beaten Tim last night in three different programs. Other show media, including RTL Boulevard and De Telegraaf, are curious about Tim’s findings.
