HBL-Klub focuses on sustainability when it comes to team clothing

Handball Bundesliga club TuS N-Lübbecke will be using sustainable production for all of its team equipment from the coming season.

In the future, jerseys and pants, among other things, will be manufactured locally and on a needs-oriented basis by fast52 GmbH from nearby Bielefeld.

“Sustainability and resource conservation is also becoming more and more important to us,” said TuS Managing Director Torsten Appel: “We are all required to do our part to protect the environment and raw materials.”

According to the club, Rolf Hermann, sporting director, made decisive progress on the new path. “We developed the jersey, but also every shirt and every pair of pants just for us, and it is produced locally in Bielefeld exactly according to our needs,” says Hermann.

The fast52 company has set itself the task of producing demand-oriented, local and individual textiles. “With our company philosophy, we are committed to the sustainable and – potentially CO₂ neutral – innovative manufacture of textile products,” says fast52 founder Ralf Kelber: “Our textiles don’t first travel around the world before they reach the customer.”
