HBL: HBW Balingen-Weilstetten pushes squad planning

The squad planning for the coming season is progressing at handball Bundesliga team HBW Balingen-Weilstetten.

As the club threatened with relegation announced on Thursday, backcourt player James Scott and playmaker Björn Zintel will leave HBW in the summer.

Balingen signed Filip Vistorop from RK Zagreb as a replacement for the coming season, the Croatian receiving a non-league two-year contract.

Zintel, whose contract expires in the summer, had already been offered an extension in November, but the 26-year-old had “neither decided for nor against HBW until January,” the statement said.

Scott will join Danish first division side Fredericia HK from the summer.
