Hayoung Choi wins Queen Elisabeth Competition for cello, Belgian Stéphanie Huang takes audience award

South Korean Hayoung Choi is the first laureate of the Queen Elisabeth Competition for cello and won the competition in the Brussels Bozar on Saturday evening. Belgium’s Stéphanie Huang finished among the unranked laureates, but won the audience award from Klara’s listeners and Canvas viewers.
