Havik/Van Schip dethroned as European champion madison by Kluge/Reinhardt

Yoeri Havik from Avenhorn was dethroned together with Jan-Willem Schip as European champion at the madison. At the European Championships in Munich, the title went to the experienced German couple Kluge/Reinhardt.

The Dutch started the race well. They still took points in the first seven of the twenty-five sprints. After that, the cake was finished and they eventually finished sixth.

keirin

Because the Dutch sprint toppers were missing at the European Championship, Tijmen van Loon from Amstelveen was allowed to compete in the keirin section. There he stranded in the rematches. The title went to the Frenchman Sébastien Vigier.
