Hattrick for Kay Tejan in Brabant get-together, great victory Young PSV

In the Kitchen Champion Division, three clubs from Brabant booked a victory on Friday evening. That was the maximum number, because two Brabant duels were on the program with Helmond Sport-TOP Oss (1-3) and FC Den Bosch-FC Eindhoven (0-2). Young PSV also won, it recorded a nice victory over Excelsior.

Helmond Sport-TOP Oss 1-3
Helmond Sport did not play in the previous round. It refused to play due to a large number of injuries and corona cases within the selection. On Friday, trainer Wil Boessen managed to assemble a team. Dylan Seys was one of the players who kicked off. He gave his team the lead at home by working a corner kick directly into the goal.

However, it turned out to be Kay Tejan’s evening. The TOP Oss attacker equalized in the first half, after a very good combination with Jearl Margaritha in the penalty area. After an hour of play, he beautifully shot the 1-2 against the ropes. Fifteen minutes before the end of the game, he reacted alertly to a too soft pass from Seys. The TOP Oss striker was at the ball earlier than Helmond goalie Mike Havekotte. He ran past it and because of that he could easily complete his hat trick.

FC Den Bosch – FC Eindhoven 0-2
FC Eindhoven is the highest ranked team from Brabant in the Kitchen Champion Division. That status also lived up to in the duel with FC Den Bosch. The home team was already behind after two minutes of play. Jort van der Sande headed in from a corner.

In the second half, Van der Sande was the principal for the second Eindhoven goal. He set Jasper Dahlhaus free for FC Den Bosch goalie Wouter van der Steen with a watched bow ball. In the first half, the FC Eindhoven winger shot incomprehensibly wide in a similar situation. This time he knew what to do with the opportunity and put the 0-2 on the scoreboard.

Young PSV Excelsior 3-0
Lord and master was Jong PSV against Excelsior. Ten minutes before the end, former Helmond Sport goalkeeper Stijn van Gassel was standing next to his goal, shaking his head. He had just conceded the third goal. Looking at the rankings, it makes sense that that caused frustration and disbelief. Young PSV started the round as number ten, Excelsior is number two in the Kitchen Champion Division.

The fact that the Rotterdam team had to do everything they could not to roll out the red carpet for FC Volendam and had to win to keep the title race somewhat exciting was not reflected on the field. Young PSV was in charge of the field and was given chance after chance. In the first half, that did not yield any goals, but after the break, the team of coach Ruud van Nistelrooy rewarded itself. Young PSV recorded a handsome and very deserved victory via goals from Fedde Leysen, Johan Bakayoko and Mohamed Nassoh.

NAC Breda did not play on Friday evening. The team of trainer Edwin de Graaf won the cup tournament of PEC Zwolle on Wednesday evening and will therefore be in action on Saturday. The match in and against Emmen starts at 4.30 pm.
