The Swedish headwear retailer will open the doors of its first German store on May 2 in Hamburg’s Europa Passage shopping center, Hatstore announced on Friday. It is the first location outside of Scandinavia.

In its Hamburg store, the company, which was founded as an online retailer in 2012, offers a range of baseball caps, hats and bucket hats from brands such as New Era, Mitchell & Ness, ’47 Brand and Goorin Bros. Hatstore also offers its own collection and a customization service.

“As a gateway to the world and one of the largest cities in Germany, Hamburg is the ideal first location for Hatsore’s expansion into the German market. The Europa Passage is one of the most famous shopping arcades in Germany. With its central location between the Rathausmarkt and the Binnenalster, it attracts millions of visitors every year and is home to leading national and international brands,” the statement said.

In addition to the physical store, the retailer is already active with its own online shops in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. According to its own information, Hatstore operates in more than 50 markets worldwide, including the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Spain.
