The aftermath of the World Cup scandal that rocked Norway came to an end.

The ethics committee of the international skiing federation FIS has handed out punishments for the ski jumping costume scandal at the World Championships in Trondheim.
Former head coach of the Norwegian team Magnus Brevigassistant coach Thomas Lobben and a seamstress Adrian Livelten were banned for 18 months for the costume scam that resulted Marius Lindvik too, by Johann Andre Forfang and Kristoffer Eriksen Sundalin discus in Suurmäki competition.
The seams of the Norwegian jumpers’ suits had been reinforced against the rules to improve the suit’s flight characteristics. The thread began to unravel when the Polish media published a video proving the manipulation in the middle of the Games. Brevig and Livelten appeared on that recording.
– We have always known that what happened was wrong and we understand the consequences, Brevig, Lobbe and Livelte stated in their joint statement to VG.
However, the trio points out that they do not feel that the ban is in line with what kind of punishments have been given for costume scams in the past.
Lindvik, Forfang and Sundal have denied their involvement in the scam. After the uproar, Brevig resigned from his post.
