The FIM has decided to sanction Miller after qualifying for MotoGP during the Argentine Grand Prix and will lose three positions on the grid. According to the official statement sent by MotoGP, the sanction was imposed after “observe that he was driving slowly disturbing another driver at the entrance of turn 7 of the circuit“.

According to the governing body of the MotoGP championship, Miller’s action during qualifying contravenes the instructions given to all teams and riders and is considered “irresponsible driving that causes danger to the rest of the competitors” and therefore it has finally been decided to sanction the Ducati rider.

Jack Miller, who started from 11th position in the race at the Termas de Río Hondo track, will finally start from 14th as indicated by the penalty, and therefore Binder, Bastianini and Bagnaia will earn a place on the starting grid. The Ducati rider had not achieved the best result during the day on Saturday but now he will have to climb even more positions if he wants to get into the fight for victory.
