Harry Styles sets a new Ticketmaster record: 11.5 million presale registrations exceed anything ever seen before.

Pop singer Harry Styles will celebrate his musical comeback after a three-year break in 2026 with his fourth studio album “Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally”. How eagerly his fans were waiting for this was evident in the advance ticket sales for his “Together, Together” tour.

Demand explodes

A main part of the tour takes place in New York. The Brit is playing a 30-concert residency at Madison Square Garden, following in the footsteps of “Piano Man” Billy Joel, who holds the record for the longest residency at the venue with 104 sold-out concerts.

Tickets for the concerts from August 26th to October 31st, 2026 are in great demand. The rush for pre-sales so far has been enormous, with demand exceeding anything ever seen before.

New Ticketmaster record

According to the platform, the numerous registrations for advance sales on the Ticketmaster portal mark a new record. A total of 11.5 million people registered in the hope of getting a ticket. The portal reported that this was the “highest advance sales volume ever recorded for an artist in New York.” The singer sets a pre-sale record for Madison Square Garden.

Additionally, Ticketmaster reported “the largest presale turnout by an artist ever recorded for a single event in a market or artist residency.”

The 31-year-old is causing a sensation, to which the “Hollywood Reporter” also reacted. The paper wrote of the record: “If even half of these registrations were legitimate, it would indicate enormous demand for one of the world’s biggest artists that even an extensive artist residency in a single U.S. market may not be able to meet.”

Arena of Records

Madison Square Garden, where Styles will perform in New York, is considered one of the music industry’s most legendary venues. Records have already been set here in the past. Billy Joel holds the longest residency. In 2012, tickets for Justin Bieber’s shows at MSG sold out in just 30 seconds – considered one of the fastest advance sales ever. This advance sale also took place on the Ticketmaster platform.

Plus: Harry Styles has already been able to join the list of MSG records in the past. As part of his “Love On” tour, he played 15 concerts in the arena, sold 277,000 tickets and grossed $63.1 million – more than anyone has ever done before. “Billboard” reported about it at the time.

The prestigious venue also presents “Platinum Ticket Awards” to artists with more than 250,000 tickets sold. In addition to Elton John and the Rolling Stones, Harry Styles is of course also on this list. His new Ticketmaster record is not the first he has set in relation to Madison Square Garden.

Ticket prices have risen sharply

However, if you want to experience the former One Direction member, you will have to dig deep into your pockets. Ticket prices have increased significantly compared to his last tour. Pricing for the international shows varies considerably: in London, ticket costs range between 72.95 and 725.45 pounds (around 900 euros) for premium tickets. In Amsterdam the maximum prices are around 830 euros.

This price range represents a significant increase compared to the previous tour – in 2022, tickets in the USA were sometimes available for under $50. Some fans were shocked by the ticket prices and expressed their outrage about X.
