Harry Potter star Tom Felton comments on relationship rumors with his co-star Emma Watson in his new biography, reports Mirror.
Felton and Watson’s romantic relationship has been rumored for years.
Felton said the relationship deepened after a rocky start into a special connection.
– I don’t think I was ever in love with him. I loved and admired him as a person in a way that I can never explain to others. We were soul mates, Felton describes.
Felton and Watson met for the first time Harry Potter’s in auditions. In his book, Felton tells about the two’s awkward first meeting.
– My relationship with Emma did not start well. It would have been understandable if he didn’t want anything to do with me. Everything just got worse.
Felton says that at that time he behaved in a belittling manner towards Watson.
– I have always secretly loved Emma, although maybe not in the way that people would like. However, that doesn’t mean there were never any sparks between us. It really has been, but only at a different time, says the actor.
Felton says that when he was 15, he heard that Watson had a crush on him. Watson was 12 years old at the time.
– Rumors started circulating that there was more between us than we let on. I denied my feelings, but the truth was different, says Felton.
Felton says that his girlfriend at the time sensed that there was more than friendship between the two.
– I used a familiar line and said that I love her like a sister. But there was more to it.
Watson and Felton starred in the Harry Potter films from 2001 to 2011.
